I'll be interviewing Mariss Jansons in the next few days... and I was wondering if any of you had questions they'd be interested in seeing him be asked.
Jansons will embark on several tours with his BRSO, this season... including a second stop in London (Royal Festival Hall, March 29th, Harteros: Strauss, 4 Last Songs) and New York.

I'd love to know if he feels there is a 'Dutch' orchestral sound, or whether the individual or even national 'sound' of orchestras (and this one in particular) have become homogenised by the global village syndrome. Having worked so closely with the Amsterdam Concertgebouw he'd appear to be ideally placed to know.
