It's not only the Commons that's baying for blood; over on the sacd.net forum Stereophile editor John Atkinson is being pilloried for his perceived anti-SACD stance. It really is rather terrifying how forums attract such posters, who feel that anyone who challenges their view of the world must be vilified rather than reasoned with.
The upshot is that SACD fans feel it's all a conspiracy that the format has failed to take hold (in the US at least, Japanese buyers still snap up new discs). It's perhaps instructive that they spend so much time talking about esoteric equipment - some of it costing thousands - and much less time talking about music.
