End of the line at Linn

It's official: Linn will stop making CD players from 2010. According to Gilad Tiefenbrun 30% of the company's sales now come from DS (digital streaming) devices. They will continue with their LP12 turntable and their (somewhat expensive) download service.

    Sorry, but I don't know anyone fromm my circle who downloads classical music. Many classical music lovers don't even use computers.

    They'll have to stop printing: 'This CD would sound better on a Linn player' on their discs as well!

    As I understand it they are concentrating on digital streaming, so their Unidisk player will now be their key product.
